Congratulations to Mr. Snyder and the Iroquois Community School 8th Grade Girls Volleyball Team!

ICS is proud to share that they took 1st place in the MCSL Conference this past spring, and have brought the 1st place trophy to Iroquois Community School.

"As a school we are very proud of what our 8th grade girls have achieved not only on the court, but in the classroom as well," said Iroquois Assistant Principal Mr. John Rey. "Winning the Conference Title in a conference with 8 different teams is no easy task."

Rey said that the 8th grade girls have grown as athletes, scholars and leaders throughout their middle school experience. Not only are these girls all-star athletes, but they also play an essential role in the school's student leadership team, Warrior Leader.

"There is not one day that goes by where one of our athletes is not looking for a way to support their school or other students within the school," Rey said.

A huge thank you to all the teachers, administrators, and families that attended the conference championship over intercession to make this championship a very special one!

The team has competed each year, winning 3rd place in 7th grade during the 23/24 season, and finally taking first place in 8th grade during the 24/25 season.

The girls finished their season with an overall record of 10-4, and first place in their conference. The entire ICS community looks forward to seeing all the academic and athletic accomplishments these scholars meet as they progress towards high school.
