State Float Night at ICS!

Iroquois Community School fourth grade teachers worked with their students on a state research project that concluded with a special state float presentation and parent night!

The activity included students researching a state, as well as interviewing a specific individual working at a state agency.

Students sent a handwritten letter to the individual they researched and asked questions about the state and the agency the individual belonged to.

Students used the responses to their letters and their research to create an informational writing piece about their state.

The final stage of the project was for students to create a diorama that included a variety of facts about their state.
