Building the Thirteen Colonies

The fifth grade students in Mr. Peebles class explored the regions of the thirteen colonies this week using the educational website BrainPOP.
Students watched a video, read related articles and played a timeline related game.
They also used a graphic organizer to build on their background knowledge.
Mr. Peebles said they will be reading the book "Fever 1793" in class, a story about a teenager who lives in Philadelphia during the yellow fever epidemic.
Students will also continue learning about the colonies through hands on activities such as creating dioramas and posters.
