District 62's 10-month first through eighth graders were welcomed back to school on August 21, while preschool and kindergartners started school on August 22.
Staff and district administrators enjoyed saying hello to the students and their families during the morning drop-offs on the first day.
Students throughout the D62 elementary and middle schools participated in various "welcome back" and "getting to know you" activities during the first week of school.
They also spent time learning about their school's PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) Program, which promotes learning in a positive, safe and supportive environment.
Whether it was art class, music class or gym class, students enjoyed reconnecting with old friends and meeting new ones.
All of the District 62 staff look forward to an amazing 2025-2026 school year!
