Traveling the World at Central School
Students and their families did not need to pack their bags to travel around the world at Central Elementary School recently.
Central Elementary School hosted its first-ever "Read Around the World Family Cultural Night" on February 2 and it was a huge success!
Upon arrival, students and their families received a passport, and for each country (table) they visited, they received a stamp in their book.
Central families showcased 18 different countries that evening!
Italy, Egypt, Bulgaria, Serbia, Poland and Ireland were just a few of the countries represented.
Tables offered an assortment of ethnic foods unique to each country, as well as other items such as art, books, clothes and poster board displays!
Those who attended were also treated to various ethnic performances.
There was Serbian dancing, Bulgarian dancing, Scottish dancing and Greek dancing!
Everyone was encouraged to learn some of the dances and join in on the fun!
It was an amazing evening filled with celebrating and learning about the cultures of the Central Eagles!
