On Tuesday, August 19 D62 staff members gathered together in the Algonquin Middle School gymnasium to kick off the 2025-2026 school year!
The morning began with a few words from Superintendent of Schools Dr. Michael Amadei.
He did a "roll call" for each of the schools, with the staff members cheering when they were called.
The district then welcomed Dr. Jenna Rufo, Founder and CEO of empowerED, as the keynote speaker.
EmpowerED focuses on the importance of inclusivity in education, assisting schools in making opportunities available for all students.
The day then continued with the staff breaking up into various groups to plan and prepare for the days and weeks ahead.
Everyone at District 62 is looking forward to a great year ahead!
