Thank you to everyone who came out to eat pizza and vote on their favorite slice at the D62 Education Foundation's 2nd Annual Pizza Wars!
More than 150 attendees had the chance to sample delicious pizza from five area restaurants: Caruso's, Giuseppe's, Little Angelo's, Oak Farms Market and Pizzawala's.
Little Angelo's Pizza in Rosemont took the top spot for the second year in a row!
The event was held at the Danube Swabian Center in Des Plaines and more than $2,000 was raised that day.
Attendees also had the chance to buy "wishes" off the foundation's wish board, purchasing such items as books and supplies for the teachers.
All of the money raised will directly benefit the students of District 62, funding grants for field trips, literacy nights, science nights, author visits and more!
The foundation handed out 40 grants this year totaling more than $28,000!
