District 62 Technology Specialist and drummer, Mr. Pablo Sands, showed Iroquois percussion students how to set up, care for and tune the new drum set purchased by the district.
With Mr. Sands providing instruction on screw tightening and proper part placement, the students collaborated in assembling the drum set.
Students were shown how to incorporate creativity and variation when playing beats and drum fills around the kit.
Both beginner and intermediate percussionists were eager to get behind the drum kit and try it or themselves.
