Margaret Sarti Named Student Services Coordinator
Des Plaines--Margaret Sarti was named Student Services Coordinator at the July 17 Board of Education Meeting.
In her role as Student Services Coordinator, Sarti is responsible for administering and supervising special education programs and services in compliance with state and federal rules and regulations.
I am grateful for the opportunity to join District 62 as a Student Services Coordinator,” said Sarti. “It is a privilege to be welcomed to a district with such a strong, student-centered mission and vision. I look forward to being a strong contributor to that charge moving forward.
Sarti joins the Student Services department with over five years servicing students as an early childhood special education teacher and MTSS coordinator, as well administrative experience at the district level as an Early Childhood Special Education Administrator with Chicago Public Schools. Most recently Sarti served as the Manager of Instructional Quality, overseeing a team of special education administrators who provided instructional support throughout the district.
"The Student Services Department is excited to welcome Ms. Sarti,” said Interim Assistant Superintendent for Student Services. “She comes to the district with extensive knowledge and experience in early childhood education. She will be an asset to the students, staff, parents and community."
Sarti earned her bachelor’s from Loyola University Chicago in Early Childhood Special Education and an endorsement in English as a Second Language, graduating Summa Cum Laude. In 2019, she graduated from American College of Education with a master’s in Educational Leadership.
Sarti lives on the northwest side of Chicago with her husband, two young children and their family dog. They enjoy spending time outdoors at their family cabin in the northwoods of Wisconsin.
