ICS Students Give Back to the Community

Iroquois Community School fourth graders in Ms. Madeline Redding and Ms. Rosalie Stanley's classes participated in a clothing drive to support the Self-Help Closet and Pantry of Des Plaines.

Working together with their classmates, the students helped promote the school-wide clothing drive and encouraged donations from the community.

After the collection was complete, a representative from the pantry visited the school with a van to pick up the items.

The students proudly helped load all of the donations into the van, knowing their efforts would help local families in need.

This annual project has become a meaningful tradition for the fourth grade classes, teaching students the importance of teamwork, compassion and giving back to the community.
