For the first time ever, students, parents and administrators from Community Consolidated School District 62 marched in the Des Plaines Independence Day Parade!

Families from Iroquois Community School were invited to walk the parade route, which marched more than a mile down Center Street, ending in downtown Des Plaines.

Iroquois families wore custom D62 t-shirts and carried a sign welcoming the students back to school on July 17.

Dr. Michael Amadei, along with ICS Principal Kelly Krueger and ICS Assistant Principal John Rey, handed out candy and waved to the crowd.

CCSD 62 looks forward to inviting other schools to participate in the annual parade in the future!
