Community Consolidated School District 62, along with the City of Des Plaines Police Department, hosted National Night Out at the Westerhold Early Learning Center/Algonquin Middle School campus.

National Night Out, an annual campaign promoting police and community partnerships, featured police and fire department vehicles, a demonstration by the Tactical Response Team, and an opportunity to meet Des Plaines Police K-9 Jager.

The evening included games, activities, and displays from various community groups, alongside a live performance by members of the School of Rock in Park Ridge.

In addition to National Night Out, District 62 hosted a Paraeducator Job Fair at the Westerhold Early Learning Center, where families and community members could explore resources offered by area organizations and agencies.

That evening, D62 families also had the opportunity to register their students for the upcoming school year.

It that wasn't enough, the City of Des Plaines hosted a food truck event on the grounds of Forest Elementary School.

It was a successful evening that highlighted strong community partnerships.
