The annual Des Plaines holiday tree lighting took place on Friday, December 6 in Metropolitan Square.
That afternoon before the tree lighting all of the students were invited to decorate their school's tree.
The students made unique ornaments for their trees during art class or a PTO/PTC sponsored event.
The theme for this year's tree decorating was "Holiday Magic."
Those in attendance enjoyed food trucks, live entertainment and even a visit from Santa!
