CCSD62
District 62 eighth graders from Iroquois Community School, as well as Algonquin and Chippewa Middle Schools, attended a live musical performance of The Little Mermaid at Maine West High School.
General Music, Choir and Orchestra Teacher Mr. Dominique Radtke said, "This special event was a wonderful collaboration between D62 and D207, designed to bring students together for a shared, positive musical experience."
At the end of the performance, the Maine West cast did a mini Q&A for the eighth graders.
They talked about how long it takes to prepare for a musical, special lighting effects and much more!
Each student received one complimentary ticket to attend the performance with their families and friends.
This was yet another fantastic opportunity to celebrate the fine arts with our D62 and D207 students!
