CCSD62 Welcomes New Teachers Ahead of 2026-2027 School Year

Community Consolidated School District 62 officially kicked off the 2026-2027 academic year on August 13th, hosting a celebratory orientation and breakfast to welcome 55 newly hired teachers to the district.

The morning event gave incoming staff an opportunity to connect with district administration before diving into preparations for the upcoming school year. Superintendent of Schools Dr. Michael Amadei opened by introducing himself, sharing his background, and offering insight into the district's mission.

Board of Education President Elizabeth Massa followed with a warm greeting on behalf of the board, expressing gratitude for the new educators joining the CCSD62 community.

Amy Cengel, Assistant Superintendent of Instructional Services, shared her enthusiasm for working alongside the new staff, while Director of Community Relations Jennifer Tempest Bova detailed her department's role in public outreach and school communication.
