First Grade Watercolor Techniques

The image shows two young girls, one wearing a red shirt and the other a blue shirt, sitting at a table and engaged in conversation or activity. The background appears to be a classroom setting with posters and other educational materials visible.
Cumberland

First graders at Cumberland Elementary School recently learned how to watercolor paint using a crayon resist.

Art Teacher Ms. Todorovich said students created a variety of lines in crayon the first week of the lesson.

The second week they learned all about painting, using the brush correctly and how to watercolor paint.

They filled their paper with experiments in color and line.

The final week, the project was used to create line monsters - just in time for Halloween!

The class enjoyed seeing how everyone's creation's turned out!
