Students Go On a Bear Hunt!

Cumberland
Ms. O'Donnell's 3rd and 4th grade students recently had fun in music class with Cumberland Music and Drama Teacher Mr. Coon.
Mr. Coon said the class is reviewing music routines and concepts from the previous year.
He said each music class starts with a song-based welcome.
They then have singing time and instrument time, where the class practices musical skills.
In this specific class, the students practiced the song "Are You Sleeping" to build vocal independence.
They then practiced mallet technique and reading notes from the musical alphabet, playing them in order on the xylophones.
The class ended with a fun "free choice" song, and the students went on a "bear hunt."
