Students Grow a Kindness Tree

Cumberland
Cumberland Elementary School participated in a Pay it Forward School activity sponsored by the Des Plaines Youth Commission.
During the week of April 29 students had an opportunity to share kind messages on heart-shaped leaves.
The Cumberland Student Council then decorated these messages in a display of a "Kindness Tree."
Classrooms also engaged in various read-alouds about kindness and students talked about how they can continue to demonstrate acts of kindness within the school community.
