Cumberland
Cumberland fifth graders in Library Media Specialist Sophia Garcia Smith's class recently participated in a wide range of coding activities.
Students had the opportunity to use block code to animate different objects, including a dancing sloth.
Other coding activities the students could choose from included making music, moving characters around obstacles in a scene, an AI dance party and creating games.
Some of the students who had more experience with block code tried out Python, which is a higher level programming language.
At the end of the hour, all of the students received a digital certificate for their accomplishments.
