Kindergarteners in Ms. Sarah Hamman's class at Cumberland Elementary School had a fun morning jogging, running and playing different games together.

Ms. Hamman first had the students walk, skip, jog and run around the gym to warm up.

To make the warmup even more fun, she played music and when it stopped the students had to freeze in place.

When they finished their warmup, they played a game called banana split tag.

Two students were selected to be "it" and had to gently tap other students with a yellow pool noodle.

When students were tagged they had to stand in place with both of their hands up in the air until another student tagged them back in.

Before they started their final activity Ms. Hamman asked the students to put their hands on their chest to feel their heartbeats.

She explained to them how a person's heart rate increases with activity, why it happens and the importance of it.

For the final game students had a badminton racket and a balloon and had the goal of trying to keep the balloon in the air as long as they could with their racket.

Their goal was to try and see how many times they could hit the balloon before it touched the ground.

The students had a lot of fun trying to keep the balloon up in the air and look forward to their next class with Mrs. Hamman!
