Spiral Symmetrical Art

A vibrant, colorful paper craft in the shape of a circular mandala, with intricate patterns and a central eye-like design, held in a person's hand against a green background.
Cumberland

Cumberland Elementary School fifth graders in Ms. Jelena Todorovich's art class are painting colorful spiral symmetrical designs.

Various shades of paint colors were set up at different tables throughout the art room, allowing students the chance to walk around and easily find colors they wanted to use for their project.

Some students chose warm colors, others chose cool colors for their project.

They had the freedom to paint their project using different designs and patterns.

Once the paint is dry, the students will punch small holes in their art and start weaving thread throughout it.

Some areas won't have holes which will allow the various colors to shine through.

The students are looking forward to completing their spiral designs next week.
