Printmaking with Paint in Art Class!
Central
1st grade students in Mrs. Earl's art class this week were excited to learn about printmaking.
Printmaking consists of transferring images from a matrix onto another surface such as paper or fabric.
Students used a circular piece of cardboard as their canvas and applied various circles of paint to it using a cup or marker cap.
Printmaking helps children focus their attention on lines, shapes, patterns and texture.
The first grade students enjoyed creating circles of various sizes on their cardboard canvas.
They had an amazing time and look forward to adding more designs to their canvas next week.
