Thunder Camp Excitement!

Algonquin
On Thursday, August 8, Algonquin Middle School staff welcomed approximately 150 6th grade students - about 75% of the incoming class - to campus.
The focus of the 4-hour day was to build relationships and get comfortable at AMS.
The incoming students met other classmates, learned their schedule, worked on lockers and combination locks, explored the building and learned about the school's PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) program.
They also had the opportunity to meet Principal Dr. Donald Jones and Assistant Principal Ms. Patty Tzortzis.
Dr. Jones said the excitement from the students was palpable and the camp was a great way to start the upcoming school year.
