Algonquin
Boys basketball is off to a great start.
7th grade is currently 3-3 record, and 8th grade are 2-4.
Both rosters have a mix of students who play for club teams as well as those who are new to the sport. Coach Groves said that he is enjoying getting to know the boys, while also focusing on sportsmanship: “Chin up if you lose, and joyful if you win”, all the while respecting your opponent.
Both teams have seen a lot of growth from the boys both on the court and off it. One highlight is all athletes remaining academically eligible throughout the season.
