Volunteer

Our district and its schools are the centers of the community!

As such, the district believes that community engagement and collaboration between our staff, parents and residents are pivotal to the success of our students.

The district has a volunteer program in place designed to strengthen partnerships between schools and our communities while preserving and enhancing educational opportunities for all students within the school district.

How you can volunteer:

Volunteering only takes a few simple steps:

  1. Tell us about yourself and your areas of interest by completing a volunteer application at the Des Plaines School District 62 Volunteer Program website.
  2. Your completed volunteer application will be reviewed by the community relations director. After a telephone interview, the community relations director will work with school volunteer coordinators to match your expertise, interests, and skills with staff requests for volunteers.

If you are unable to make an online application you may submit a paper application. Please bring a copy of completed application to your school secretary:
