Quality Early Childhood and School-Age Programs in a Public School Setting

SPARK Studies Year of the Rat

SPARK four and five year old students celebrated Chinese New Year recently by creating dragons, lanterns, and practicing calligraphy. Students visited other SPARK classrooms as a part of the Dragon Dance.


Registration for the 2008/2009 SPARK Early Childhood program starts on February 1. If you are already part of the SPARK program, you will receive your new registration materials as part of your February billing statement. Register early, classes fill up fast!

SPARK Program provides parent funded preschool, and school-age programs within the Des Plaines Public Schools. SPARK has a mission to provide a safe, secure environment in which children can grow physically, emotionally, socially, and intellectually. While stressing these developmental areas, the staff strive to gear the activities and environment to meet the needs and interests of the individual child.
