About Plainfield Elementary School
Approximately 350 students in grades K-5th attend Plainfield School. We are part of Community Consolidated School District 62. Students leave Plainfield School and go on to Algonquin Middle School.
The demographics of Plainfield are as follows: White 19.3%, Hispanic 60.8%, Asian/Pacific Islander 15.6%, Black 3%.
Plainfield School has 51.1% of its students qualifying for low-income services (compared to 40% for the entire state). These students are from families eligible to receive free or reduced-price lunches. Plainfield School serves a population of 66.8 % English language learners.
