Principal's Message / Mensaje de el director
Dear Students, Parents, and Staff,
I am very excited to return to Orchard Place Elementary School for the 2016-2017 school year and honored to serve as Principal. Having worked in District 62 since 2008, I look forward to continuing to serve our community and students.
Orchard Place Elementary School is a family, built up of a collaborative learning community. Located on the edge of Des Plaines and Rosemont, Orchard Place students enrich our school through an array of backgrounds, languages, and strengths. We are proud to educate students from grades kindergarten through fifth grade.
Orchard Place believes in enriching learning environments that include positive and supportive structures and expectations. School climate sets the tone for all learning and teaching. Our committed staff develops academic skills and character traits for each of our students, both within the classroom and across all school settings. As Orchard Place Eagles, we encourage our school community to SOAR:
- Act Respectfully
Parents are important members of the Orchard Place learning community. The Family Activities Committee (FAC) is comprised of Orchard Place parents who meet monthly to plan fundraisers and events that benefit our school community. This partnership has provided important educational opportunities for our students and we look forward to continued cooperation between home and school.
I am looking forward to a great year! If I can be of any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me and know that my door is always open.
