Volunteering with School District 62
Welcome and thank you for your interest in volunteering in School
District 62. Great schools result when citizens work together
with students and staff. School District 62 can't do
it alone. Our students benefit when you share your time and
talents by tutoring, mentoring, and assisting with activities.
How You Can Volunteer
Volunteering only takes a few simple steps:
- Tell us about yourself and your areas of interest by completing
a Volunteer Application.
- Díaganos acerca de usted y sus áreas de interés, completando un aplicación voluntario.
- Bring the Volunteer
Application to the principal at the school where
you would like to volunteer, or the Director of Community
Relations, Leon Smaage Administration Center (AC), 777 Algonquin
Road, Des Plaines, IL.
- Complete a Volunteer Information Form and Waiver of Liability.
After your background check is successfully completed, the principal
or community relations director will match your expertise,
interests, and skills with staff requests for volunteers. You will
also be asked to attend a Volunteer Orientation at the Administration
Center.
Please contact the Community Relations Department at 847-824-8070,
or e-mail Mindy Ward at wardm@d62.org for additional
information.
