About Central Elementary
Approximately 260 students in grades K-5 attend Central School. We are part of Community Consolidated School District 62. Students leave Central School and go on to Chippewa Middle School.
According to the 2006 Illinois District Report Card, Central School’s population is comprised of 75.5% White, 3% Black, 13.7% Hispanic, 6.4% Asian/Pacific Islander and 1.3% Multiracial. At Central School, 10.7% of children are from families qualifying as low-income and 9.9% of children are Limited English Proficient.
Central School has a teaching staff of 19 certified teachers.
