The Family Newsletter for School District 62
Students' homes and classrooms are the focal points of their learning experiences—from kindergarten through high school. Parents who work with teachers and students are critical partners in helping their child achieve success.
Bridging the divide between what is learned in the classroom to how it is relevant in day-to-day life is a critical role for parents. It brings meaning to their child's learning experience.

Forest School has a very active, involved Parent-Teacher Council. They provide the school with many family activities throughout the year as well as provide educational opportunities and resources for the school.
Additionally, Forest School welcomes community volunteers. We currently have a number of senior volunteers and parent volunteers who assist in classrooms. We provide training for our volunteers in implementing certain intervention programs to help students who are struggling with certain areas of literacy.
